Made from 100% organic Australian merino wool, woven in the United States. The fulling process produced about 20% shrinkage, and washing on hot can felt the material a bit more but much less than had the cloth not been pre-treated.

Individual rolls can have different properties -- slightly different weights, feels, etc.
