We liked this classic hemp herringbone from the get-go, but our appreciation turned to a deep and abiding love when it came out of the dryer. Washed on hot and dried normally, the weave was emphasized, the fabric softened a bit, and a beautiful slightly worn-in feel developed. Substantial, with a great drape for such a heavy fabric, it is an obvious choice for jackets, vests, skirts, and pants. Hemp's marvelous durability means you'll choose this material for kids' clothes as well -- you put a lot of work into making their clothes; wouldn't it be nice if they survived to be passed down to future generations of lucky children? Absolutely stunning when used around the house, too -- brilliant upholstery, stylish pillows and duvet covers, and the closest to sustainable blackout curtains we've seen yet.
